Our Code of Conduct and Responsibilities are designed to foster a positive and enriching environment for all.

Homeschooling co-op code of conduct

Purpose: To create a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment for all families participating in the co-op.

1. Respectful Communication: All members are expected to communicate with kindness and respect. Disagreements should be approached with an open mind and a willingness to understand different perspectives.

2. Inclusivity: The co-op welcomes families from diverse backgrounds and beliefs. Discrimination based on race, religion, or ability is not tolerated.

3. Participation: Families are encouraged to actively participate in co-op activities, whether by leading sessions, assisting with organization, or contributing ideas.

4. Attendance: Regular attendance is important for the success of the co-op. If a family cannot attend, they should inform the group in advance when possible.

5. Supervision: Parents or guardians must supervise their children at all times during co-op hours. It is the responsibility of each family to ensure their child behaves appropriately.

6. Safety: Safety is a priority. All members must follow safety guidelines and report any hazardous conditions or incidents to the organizers immediately.

7. Cleanliness: Since food will not be provided, families are responsible for cleanup after their activities. Please leave the space as you found it.

8. Respect for Property: Treat all materials, equipment, and the venue with respect. Any damage caused must be reported to the co-op organizers.

9. Conflict Resolution: If conflicts arise, they should be addressed calmly and respectfully. If necessary, a designated mediator from the co-op may assist in resolving the issue.

10. Feedback: Constructive feedback is welcome. Members are encouraged to share thoughts on how to improve the co-op experience.

11. Commitment to Co-op Values: By participating in this co-op, families agree to uphold these principles and contribute positively to the community.

Responsibilities of members

As members of the Brant Norfolk Homeschool Cooperative, all participants must help maintain the cleanliness of the facilities we use. There is a mandatory clean up for everyone who participates in our programming prior to leaving. 

Our members are very important in running our programming, we ask that everyone assist with running programming. There is sign up sheets for everyone and we ask that every family sign up for one role.
